About us

Resilient Futures was formed in April 2008 as a result of a number of practitioners in various fields believing that the current thinking in their respective professions was inadequate in dealing with the problems of tomorrow, and that resilience thinking and the concepts underpinning it provide much needed clarity in a rapidly changing interconnected world.

The core members of this group aim to act as custodians and promoters of knowledge in resilience thinking which can be applied to a range of disciplines, with each core member leading a particular theme or body of knowledge. The group meets regularly to cross-polinate ideas and learnings from the application of this thinking in the different arenas in which they operate. Application of these concepts in different environments leads to breakthroughs in the thinking and the development of the models and tools of this group.
