What is Your Role?

We believe that the role and path that each person takes in a move toward a resilient future is valid, very personal, and unique. But the one thing in common we all share in treading such a path is that we have answered three questions:

1. Am I engaged and aligned to the ideas and practices of a resilient future?

2. Am I committed to a move toward a resilient future? and,

3. What is my role?

Question one is very straight forward. If yes, then you like the idea, and would like to engage in the thinking, learn more, connect with other like-minded people, and hear how such ideas may be applied. All a great start to a challenging subject, and the beginnings of a relationship with a global network.

Question two, however, defines a deeper relationship and draws a very firm line in the sand that separates a formal or informal connection with the idea, and moves from engagement and alignment, to a firm commitment to the idea and practices.

The answer to this question opens a whole new paradigm driven by the word commitment. By commitment we mean - an engagement or obligation that is only met through action. While it is excellent to be engaged and aligned and connected to the idea of a move toward a resilient future, a deeper benefit may be available for those dedicated to the realization of a resilient future. A person committed (in action) about a subject may be described as the difference between audience and performer - both valid experiences, but both different in that the audience benefits from a casual affiliation with the play, and the performer’s experience embeds a deeper connection to the play and other performers, and through that experience to be a key part of many plays, with many performers.

That brings us to question three - what is my role? That we will leave to you. The Resilient Futures Network welcomes all views and relationships and leaves the answers and roles to the member’s personal choice.

In doing so the Network has a variety of entry points for you to join in the move toward a resilient future, and activities to assist you in your own personal journey toward your resilient future.
